From Heathfield high street proceed in an easterly direction up Mutton Hall Hill continuing over the traffic lights, passing through Broad Oak, Burwash Common & Burwash Weald and on into Burwash. In the centre of the village by the war memorial, turn right and continue for about 1¼ miles. Turn left onto Perrymans Lane and continue for about half a mile or so onto Fontridge Lane and the entrance to Phoebe’s wood will be seen on the left hand side identified by a Samuel & Son ‘For Sale’ board.
