Valuation

Our Surveyors are all RICS Registered Valuers and some are also members of the Central Assocation of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV).  Our reports are prepared in accordance with the Practice Statements of the ‘Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)’ Valuation Standards (‘The Red Book’).

We are on the Valuers Panel of many high street banks and national lending institutions.

Samuel & Son undertake valuations on behalf of private clients, Solicitors, Accountants and Major Lending Institutions for all types of rural property for a wide range of purposes including:

  • Loan Security
  • Asset Management
  • Tax Planning  (CGT, IHT)
  • Financial Planning
  • Partnership Division
  • Compulsory Purchase Compensation
  • Matrimonial & Civil Dispute
  • Sales & Purchasing
  • Stocktaking

We pride ourselves on the thorough detail in our valuation reports.  We do not just report a figure but ensure our client understands how we calculated our valuation, what outside factors influence it and how it might change in the future.  We are happy to discuss every report after we have submitted it.

The key to reporting accurately is market knowledge.  We get this from our extensive activity and experience in the local rural property market.

In some cases a formal valuation (known as a ‘Red Book’ valuation) may not be required and we can discuss your particular circumstances with you.
