Local plans are due to be replaced with Local Development Frameworks in 2007. A consultation period has already begun and if you wished to have blocks of land put forward for potential development then this needs to be considered sooner rather than later.
With challenges currently being made to interpretation/wording of The National Park policy, due to concerns over the inclusion of Lyndhurst in the New Forest National Park boundary, this is likely to defer for at least three or four years discussions regarding the creation of a South Downs National Park.
