The Samuel & Son Team
Andrew Samuel
Andrew Samuel has lived and worked in East Sussex since 1996. Starting his career with Strutt & Parker in Lewes he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1998 and moved to Charles Clark & Co, Heathfield, in 1999 for a six year spell before becoming a founder member of Samuel & Son. He has an Agricultural Honours Degree from Newcastle-upon-Tyne University, a Master of Science Degree from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, in Rural Estate Management and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as well as a probationer of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers. As a Director of the Company he undertakes most of the professional work within the firm ably assisted by his wife, Michelle, and his secretary, Jen.
Michelle Samuel
Having moved to Sussex with Andrew in 1996, Michelle had a long spell with the NFU in Lewes, eventually managing this office and its move to Uckfield in 2003. With a Degree in Business Studies from Staffordshire University and a Master of Science Degree in Agricultural Food Marketing from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, despite having two young boys to look after, Michelle is actively involved in the day to day running of the business as well as offering advice on marketing, diversification schemes and business management. She is also instrumental in the property sales and lettings side of things, often undertaking viewings for and on behalf of clients.
Jen Dumelow
Born in Eastbourne, Jen now lives in Alfriston with her family and ably assists Andrew, Michelle and Dan in secretarial and associated works on a day to day basis. Having been involved in the business from its inauguration she is familiar with professional issues surrounding Rural Asset Management and is willing to assist wherever possible.
Dan Page
Grew up on his family's farm at Toys Hill, Kent and in any spare time assisted his parents in the day to day management of their South Devon herd of cows and Romney/Suffolk mule lambing flock. The farm also boasts a successful Spring Water business, Kentish Hills Spring Water, which was established in 1987. Having recently graduated from the University of Bristol, where he obtained a degree in Geography, Dan took a few months to travel throughout Vietnam, Cambodia and Argentina and joined Samuel & Son on his return in March 2007. With farming per say in the doldrums a decision to pursue a career in Land Agency seemed a natural alternative and we welcome Dan to the firm and wish him well with his career development. This will involve his now training to become a Rural Practice Surveyor initially via a Masters degree, by correspondence, at The College of Estate Management. Please do not hesitate to contact him about matters generally. As 'The New Kid on The Block' he may well prove to be the most up to date member of our growing team!
Rhiannon Rosser
Rhiannon Rosser lives with her partner on their farm at Seaford Head where they have a flock of 1000 ewes and 150 cattle. Rhiannon studied French and History at Royal Holloway University of London, spending one year living and studying in Switzerland. Having worked for Moët Hennessy UK Ltd for 6 years in sales and marketing and subsequently logistics, she joins Samuel & Son to work on the property sales and lettings side of the business as well as being responsible for advertising and marketing.
